UNYPAD New Panay Chapter conducts Islamic Symposium in Aleosan, Cotabato

ALEOSAN, COTABATO (October 1, 2020) – United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) – New Panay conducted an Islamic symposium at Aleosan, Cotabato Province last Friday (Sept 25) aimed at strengthening unity and solidarity among the Bangsamoro people in town.
In his welcome remarks, Ustadz Pedtucasan stressed out that solidarity will lead to stronger camaraderie among the followers of Islamic faith.
Delegates from different sectors such as United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), Political Committee (PolCom), Social Women Committee Affairs (SWC), Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) and Youths attended the event.
Mr. Zaman, UNYPAD chairman of New Panay, gave the overview of the activity. “I am so grateful to Almighty Allah that finally this activity was realized.
He extended his thanks to individuals who contributed to the realization of the activity.
Chairwoman Sahida, pointed out the importance of the organization saying “we need to be united as one to become stronger.”
“The purpose of this activity is to encourage and arouse from our hearts and minds holding the organization (UNYPAD) tightly. Our organization lead us to become proactive and responsible members of our community,” he explained.
Sahida added, “The organization also gave us vital information of the situation and status of Bangsamoro that make us understand the current issues and concerns especially to us here in remote areas wherein there is difficulty of access to internet connection.”
Ustadz Alamin Dimacisil emphasized the role of youth in Bangsamoro struggle.
“Every generation will change. Youth must ready to accept changes including the possibilities of leading and let us always put in mind that the youth is the backbone of nation,” he said.
Ustadz Fahad Mokalam explained the principles on Aqidah Islamiyah as he emphasized the oneness of Allah. “Aqidah is the foundation of our faith which we need to plant it in our hearts strongly and that cannot be broken easily,” he said.
In his inspirational message, chairman of UNYPAD Pikit Chapter, Mr. Sanduyugan, cited “Leadership is not a position but a responsibility.”
He related the exemplary leadership of Umar Bin Khatab in the golden era where he always monitor the condition of his constituents day and night.
Sanduyugan also cited some of the words of the late Ameerul Mujahiden Hashim Salamat in a press conference at Camp Abu Bakar as Siddique, “If the Independence cannot be achieve during my time I assure you that I already planted the seeds Jihad to the hearts and minds of Bangsamoro especially to the youth.”
Barangay Kagawad Abdunasser Biyaw said in his closing message that the youth is the spirit of society. He assured his support to the youth sector.
Biyaw also reiterated the importance of unity and solidarity saying “Unity is vital for us because it is the foundation of the development so as solidarity which is the key of being united.”
According to him, UNYPAD can be likened to a mobile university that aims to uplift the status of youth mostly the out of school youth and enhance the knowledge of young ones in being a good citizen.
“The organization also molds the hearts and minds of every youth into becoming God fearing,” he elaborated.
Alqarie Momed Pasawilan gave an invocation reciting a verse from the holy Qur’an.
