UNYPAD Southern Mindanao Region Coordinator supervises GenSan Chapter

COTABATO CITY (November 13, 2020) — To ensure the direction of UNYPAD General Santos City Chapter towards its implementation of programs and services of the organization, Rasid Midzapak, Regional Coordinator for Southern Mindanao Region, supervised the chapter on November 3, held at Barangay Fatima, General Santos City.

The chapter chairman, Yman Mocsin, shared that due to pandemic situation the GenSan chapter was not able to hold activity and they asked the understanding of national leadership in this period of health crisis.

With the clear guidelines from the UNYPAD National Office of Vice President for Internal Affairs, Midzapak presented on how the chapter can move forward in order to execute the programs of UNYPAD during this pandemic.

The presentation enlightened the officers of GenSan Chapter.

Midzapak discussed the administrative matters and the importance of keeping the records of organization files such as ID’s, membership form and other documents to avoid in the future that someone may claim that they are members but they don’t have records in the organization.

“I advised them to collect membership form and update the structure of the chapter from chairman down to committees and members,” Midzapak said.

He said the Identification Cards to be issued to officers and members of UNYPAD will bear security codes to know that the ID being used by every bonafide member is authentic.

Midzapak reported that among other agenda discussed is the accreditation of UNYPAD GenSan chapter to the Local Government Unit of General Santos City as partner in promoting peace and development, establishment of partnership with the other sectors and government agencies such as NCMF, traditional leaders and others to strengthen the participation of the chapter in promoting peace in Mindanao.

“The chapter officers also agreed to have partnership with PNP and military on preventing and countering violent extremism outside the BARMM areas,” said Midzapak.

GenSan chapter will also assist the Palimbang chapter on their series of barangay organizing.

Mocsin said they scheduled their visit to Palimbang chapter on the third week of November.

Former Regional Coordinator Akmad Hasim who was also present in the meeting expressed his support and recognized the presence of the Regional Coordinator Midzapak. Also present was Gringgo Maquiling former chairman of the South Cotabato.
