BULUAN, MAGUINDANAO (December 23, 2020) — The United Youth for Peace and Development, Inc. (UNYPAD) Maguindanao Cluster 3 conducted an orientation activity cum updates on GPH-MILF peace gains in Gen. Salipada K. Pendatun (GSKP) Municipal Chapter held at Hadji Datu Abubakar K. Pendatun National High School, Barangay Panosolen, GSKP, Maguindanao on Sunday (December 20) attended by 45- 50 professionals and youths.

The program was started with an invocation by Al hafidh Abdula Azam Sabar, member of UNYPAD – GSKP.

“I am very thankful to all UNYPAD Provincial Officers who are giving response to our invitation led by Chairman Akmad Musa. Listen carefully for you to understand all about our organization ‘UNYPAD.’ You are all welcome to our activity today. Norodin Abdulatip GSKP Chapter Chairman said in his welcome address.

He added, “Let us prepare ourselves for the coming of challenges like being a Bangsamoro leader by exercising kuduaton hasana (model of good) and never stop seeking knowledge for us to support the advocacy of BARMM government which espouses moral governance,” Esmail Alim UNYPAD Maguindanao-3 Secretary on Da’wah and Education pointed in his privilege speech.

“Our gains in the peace negotiation between Government of the Philippines (GPH) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) are having two tracks, the political and normalization. In ‘political’ we have known salient features of government in the Bangsamoro homeland but in ‘normalization’ we have achieved four mechanisms – the security, socio economic, building confidence transformation measures and transitional justice,” Morsid Talib related during his updates on peace process gains of Bangsamoro.

Discussing about the organization, UNYPAD Provincial Chairman Akmad S. Musa said, “The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) was born to help alleviate the plight of its people in Mindanao and other places especially those marginalized sectors of the society.”

“The Youths behind this organization are equipped with willingness and dedication to give their service at their utmost capacities. You can learn more short courses in this organization. Those courses are the specialization of our organization. UNYPAD is youth development center and one of the very active organizations in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and in the Philippines,” Musa divulged.

“In this organization, you can express you own ideas when it comes to exercising you basic rights. You can learn more specially in some short courses such as Islamic leadership and conflict resolution,” GSKP municipal consultant Pof. Benhood Solaiman stated.

Norodin Abdulatp facilitated successfully the selection and appointment of the officers and members of the UNYPAD GSKP chapter.

The activity ended with closing Du’a by Ustadz Abdulwadood Lumambas, UNYPAD GSKP Chapter Vice-Chairman for Internal Affairs.
