UNYPAD Galakit Chapter spearheads orientation and induction ceremony

PAGALUNGAN, MAGUINDANAO (March 4, 2021) – The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Galakit Chapter spearheaded an orientation and induction program last February 21, 2021 at Datu Alimot Elementary School, Barangay Galakit, this town.

The activity was aimed at organizing young individuals to become a legitimate members UNYPAD and to capacitate them to become efficient and effective leaders of the said organization.

Mohamad Abas, Chairman UNYPAD Pagalungan Chapter, elaborated the overview of the activity citing, ‘’Our main task as youth organization is to mobilize and capacitate youths for them to have a better perspectives in life as young individuals.”

Nasra Nor-Banto, Principal of Galakit Elementary School, gave her support for the activity and said, “For any activity of UNYPAD, you can use this stage hall. We are here to support your programs and activities for it will leads to capacitating our youth to become a fruitful leaders in the community.”

Datu Anwar K. Matalam, Barangay Captain of Galakit, also expressed his support saying, ‘’Upama ka niya belimod salkitanu na su lumpukan nu mga nguda mana su UNYPAD na tidto a pedsegad e pamusungan ko sabap sa niya nilan pembibitialan na pantag sa agama Islam. Na sabap sa to na pasabot nu bu su opisina ko sa apya ngayn a activities nu (If there will be gathering among the youth, truly my heart cries because what they talk is about Islam. And because of that, just inform our office for whatever activity you will conduct)” he assured.

Member of the Committee on Dawah and Education, Mukarim Tado, discussed the role of youth in nation building.

‘’UNYPAD aims to develop and capacitate youth to become a leaders in our society and if you need to develop your skill, join to our organization (UNYPAD) because we will assure you that you will learn a lot,” he said.

Ust. Hamsa G. Landayan, Provincial Chairman North Cotabato Cluster II, discussed UNYPAD’s mission, vision, goal, objectives and its tasks and functions.

‘’Our organization (UNYPAD) is like walking university, you can learn without spending a lot of money, select those organization that help you to build your own,” he said.
