UNYPAD Kalbugan chapter conducts Iftar program with lslamic symposium

PAGALUNGAN, Maguindanao (May 5, 2021) — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) North Cotabato Cluster ll Kalbugan Chapter of Pagalungan unicipality conducted Iftar with lslamic symposium on May 1, 2021 held at Barangay Kalbugan, this town.
The program was themed “Ramadhan: A hope for Unity, Spiritual Advancement, Forgiveness and Self-cleansing.”
The event was aimed to seize the opportunity of gaining multiple rewards in promoting and acquiring Islamic teachings as it is done in this blessed month.
On his welcome message, Tato Guiapal, 13th Brigade National Guard Front of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) conveyed his gratitude to the organizers and attendees of the program for the noble undertaking conducted in their community.
“We are very much grateful for having you here to deliver to us one of a kind non-perishable blessings that might be our tickets in entering Jannah, hence, you are always welcome,” he pointed out.
Muhamad Abas, Chairman UNYPAD Pagalungan Chapter, gave the overview of the activity saying that, “The very reasons of initiating this activity is nothing but to maximize the possible blessings and rewards brought by the Holy Month of Ramadhan.”
“That is why, we, from UNYPAD are always committed to extend our efforts to utilize organized chapters in giving activities beneficial for the community,” he emphasized.
Member of UNYPAD National Committee on Dawah and Education, Abdulmonaim Kudto discussed the role of youth in the Bangsamoro struggle.
Kudto concluded that, “Today the contribution of youth in our society is vital, specially in the continuity of searching for prosperous peace and development in the Bangsamoro Homeland.”
Also present to grace the activity were Haris Mamengkog member of Committee on Dawah and Education, UNYPAD National, and Fahad Mokalam, Secretary on the Committee on Da’wah and Education Pagalungan chapter.
Mokalam imparted the importance of observing the holy month of Ramadhan citing the virtues of fasting such us patience, discipline and spiritual enrichment.
He also discussed how Islam espouses unity among the Muslims.
Hamsa Landayan, the provincial chairman of North Cotabato Cluster ll, in his message of support stated, “The team is always with you in working together especially in attaining our common goal.”
“Don’t hesitate to always communicate with us whenever our assistance is needed in any activities you wish to conduct,” he said.
The organizers were very much overwhelmed for the opportunity given to them especially the presence of knowledgeable resource persons from national office.
They also looked forward to initiate more activities beneficial to the community.
