UNYPAD Inug-ug Chapter holds Iftar Program, Islamic Symposium

PIKIT, Cotabato Province (May 6, 2021) — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Inug-ug Chapter held Iftar Program and Islamic Symposium on Sunday (May 2) at Maguid Compound, Sitio Mangundong, Barangay Inug-ug, this town.
Hundreds of individuals coming from different Sitios of the Barangay including the Bangsamoro Islam Armed Forces (BIAF) of Inug-ug attended the activity.
The program was anchored on centralized theme of UNYPAD North Cotabato Cluster II – “Ramadhan: A hope for Unity, Spiritual Advancement, Forgiveness and Self-Clensing.”
On his discussion, Shiekh Haris Mamangkog, member of Committee on Da’wah and Education, UNYPAD National, reminded the attendees about the importance of the holy month of Ramadhan.
“Allah (swt) promised that surely our supplications will be accepted in this holy month as long as we ask from Him, except that if our food is haram, our drinking water is haram, our clothes is haram and our lifestyle is haram,” he pointed out.
Shiekh Norodin Abas, member of Committee on Campaign and Advocacy, UNYPAD Bagoinged Chapter shared his knowledge about Laytalatul Qad’r.
Shiek Abas mentioned, “That night is a renewal of our Qadr (destiny) and annual budgeting of our ridzk, and this night is better than 1000 months of doing worship,” he explained.
Hadiguia Guiali, Social Welfare Committee Vice-Chairperson of Committee on Da’wah of Pikit chapter tackled about Mar-aton Muslimah.
“My dear sisters in Islam, always remember that through how we dress ourselves in any places allows us to be recognized on the presence of Muslim in the community. That’s why we really need to preserve our identity,” she explained.
The Iftar Program and Islamic Symposium ended with one of the success story of the Inug-ug chapter.
The organizers were looking forward for another sets of activities to be conducted sooner.
