UNYPAD-Sultan Kudarat Province joins SKPPO’s prayer rally for peaceful 2022 elections

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat (Feb. 14, 2022) – The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Sultan Kudarat Provincial Chapter joined the prayer rally for peaceful 2022 national and local elections organized by Sultan Kudarat Policd Provincial Office together with the Commission on Elections, Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Church leaders and other sectoral groups also joined the activity that was held last Sunday at Makamandag Hall, Provincial Headquarters, Sultan Kudarat Police Provincial Chapter, Camp Col. Amando M. Dumalo, Sr., this town.
The participant were in unison on their prayer that the conduct of the elections comes May 9 be peaceful and orderly.
OIC PCol. Tom P. Tuzon said this is the season where the participation and unity of various stakeholders is needed to help the security sector to maintain peace in the province.
He added that the different leaders of the province play important role in advocating peace.
Part of the activities of the peace rally were prayers that love, understanding, respect for the right of suffrage and peace to prevail while the people will execise their rights to select the leaders of the country and in locality.
The participants also pitched their call to the people, candidates or not, to serve and protect the interest of Filipino citizens to attain real peace and development of the country.
The PNP and AFP also told the rally participants to immediately report to them any suspicious individual or groups.
They also reminded that everyone should adhere to minimum health standards to help prevent the spread of the dreaded corona virus.
