COTABATO CITY (July 31, 2022) — In a bid to help patients who may need blood especially in emergency situation, the United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) conducted bloodletting activity at UNYPAD National Office, Purok Pinnen, Rosales St., RH-6, Cotabato City, last July 16, 2022.

The activity was themed “Alay kong dugo galing sa puso (I offer blood from the heart).”

It was spearheaded by UNPAD Women’s Affairs Committee in collaboration with Cotabato Regional and Medical Center.

The organizers thanked all the donors for realizing one of UNYPAD’s planned health-related activities.

Both members and non-members of UNYPAD went to activity venue to share their blood. Around 25 bags of blood were collected.

Last May 21, 2022, UNYPAD North Cotabato Cluster II Women Affairs Committee (NCCII WAC) spearheaded the bloodletting activity at UNYPAD-NCCII Office, Batulawan, Pikit with the “Su Lugo Nengka na Umol Ko (Your Blood is My Life).

Bloodletting activity is anchored on Islamic doctrine which tell “Whoever saves one life, it is as if he has saved the whole of mankind.”

A blood collected from a single donor has the potential to save three lives or improve their condition.
