The theme of the activity is “Enlightening Youth towards Bangsamoro”.

The program started with reading of verses of Qur’an, and followed by opening remarks delivered by Lakiman Samurai, Barangay Captain of Kadingilan. Samurai said that he is supportive of any peace activities to be done in his barangay.

“I will do my best to realize all activities in our Barangay because if youth can achieve something for betterment of our society, it is also my achievement,” he said.

The Development Management Center (of UNYPAD) Director Anwar Saluwang said, “…Midsayap chapter is very active in implementing the programs and services of the UNYPAD because members and officers are well-oriented on spirit of voluntarism.”

“You can’t be an effective leader if you are cost-oriented, but you can be an effective worker if you are service-oriented,” Saluwang stressed out.

Rahib Kudto, National President of the UNYPAD, was the guest speaker along with his Secretary General Yusoph Lumambas.

“The Midsayap chapter was the outstanding chapter of our organization during the leadership of Brother Anwar Saluwang,” Kudto recalled

“We are expecting that the oath taking now is the step to move forward, and it is hoped that present leadership of Midsayap Chapter will be able to restore your strength and this Midsayap chapter will eventually be again declared ‘outstanding chapter’ of North Cotabato,” he added.

Lumambas tackled the new programs of the organization come up in the national assembly conducted a month ago, such as: Youth Organizing and Solidarity, Capacity Building, Research and Information Development, Campaign and Advocacy, Rehabilitation and Development, Environment and Natural Resources, and Health and Disaster Management.

Hamsa Landayan, Provincial Chairman of North Cotabato Chapter, facilitated the Oath Taking of the newly appointed officers. He also explained the tasks and functions of all officers.

“You are now young leaders of the Bangsamoro, therefore, you need to prepare yourselves but, while doing it, you need also to wait for your turn,” he said.
