ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat (May 28, 2015)—The UNYPAD national officers headed by Dr Rahib Kudto and Sultan Kudarat provincial chapter chaired by Norodin Dimaokom have conducted a joint meeting at PC Baracks Kalawag II, Isulan Sultan Kudarat on May 26, 2015 to discuss the organization’s upcoming 6th General Assembly.
Yusoph Lumambas, UNYPAD Secetary General, disclosed that the said organization’s General Assembly will be held on August 28-31, 2015 in which Sultan Kudarat chapter will host the event.
“In the last meeting, the national officers, regional coordinators and the provincial chairmen unanimously decided to hold the UNYPAD 6th General Assembly on August 28-31, by which the Sultan Kudarat Chapter volunteered to host it,” Yusoph said.
Baisanie Macabuat, Chair of the UNYPAD-National Women Affairs Committee, said that the planning and the visit to provincial gymnasium which is the proposed venue of the assembly were the main purposes of the meeting.
“One of the highlights of the meeting was the creation of the Secretariat where the organization’s Secretary-General Yusoph Lumambas and Sultan Kudarat Chapter Chairman Norodin Dimaokom were appointed as Chairman and co-chairman, respectively,” said Macabuat.
She explained that the Secretariat is an adhoc body that will do the preparation for the assembly.
“Before the meeting was adjourned, Dr. Rahib was requested to give an updates on the BBL. In his discussion, he highlighted important issues and challenges surrounding the BBL as well as different dynamics confronting it,” she added.
The said joint meeting was presided over by Yusoph Lumambas, and adjourned at 4:00 in the afternoon.
