Paglat youths join UNYPAD

PAGLAT, Maguindanao (June 18, 2015) – The Paglat municipal chapter of the United Youth for Peace and Development Inc. (UNYPAD Inc.) held orientation for its new members on May 30,  at Sitio Kiludan, Barangay Damalusay, Paglat, Maguindanao.

Abubakar Abdullah, UNYPAD Vice Chairman for Internal Affairs said “there are 65 young men and women who have joined the UNYPAD”.

Amrallah U. Abdulwahab said in his welcome remarks, “You UNYPAD new members are very welcome to Paglat especially in Damalusay, the manifestation of which is our presence to know more about UNYPAD.”

Abdulnasser Binasing, Secretary on Rehabilitation and Development, gave inputs on the Bangsamoro history. In his lecture he mentioned the series of massacres happened in Mindanao perpetrated by members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and their ILAGA cohorts during the time of the late President Ferdinand Marcos’ Martial Law regime.

Binasing said that thousands of Moros were brutally massacred.

Sittie Saada Sampayan, the National Vice Chair for Internal Affairs of Women Affairs Committee (WAC) stressed during her message that UNYPAD is a training ground for the youth to develop themselves not only socially, economically, technologically but spiritually.

“We will totally learn here how to strengthen our faith as Muslim,” she said. “We encourage all of you to join UNYPAD because I assure that you will be developed in all aspect of your life,” Sampayan pointed out.

Akmad S. Musa, UNYPAD Maguindanao-3 Chairman facilitated the appointment of UNYPAD Paglat Chapter officers.

Amrallah U. Abdulwahab was appointed as UNYPAD-Paglat municipal chapter chairman.

Abdulwahab said “Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah and to UNYPAD leadership for appointing me as chairman. We ask the guidance of Allah in all our undertakings in our area. It has been a long period of time on how we could be part in the development of fellow youth in our community but I have no companion to do it,” he said.

“I think it will gradually be realized through the UNYPAD, Abdulwahab said in his message.

Ustads Zuharto Mamengkog, Staff, Secretary on Da’wah and Education said that while being at young age, we have to develop ourselves in all aspects because time will come, we will become the next and prominent leaders of today and partners of tomorrow, in shaa Allah (if Allah wills).
