ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat (June 2, 2015) —The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Sultan Kudarat Provincial Chapter conducted orientation for the newly organized members of UNYPAD at the Purok Masagana, Kalawag II, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat on May 30, 2015.
Zuharto Mamengkog, National Staff of the Committee on Da’wah and Education, said that the National Chapter’s delegation was headed by Tu Alid Alfonso, the Vice-President for Internal Affairs.
“It was timely that the orientation was about to be at its end when the UNYPAD national officers arrived. Upon the arrival, they introduced themselves to the new members and entertained questions and concerns regarding UNYPAD,” said Norodin Dimaokom, Chairman of Sultan Kudarat Provincial Chapter.
The UNYPAD National Women Affairs Committee Vice Chairwoman for Internal Affairs Sittie Saada Sampayan is along with the national officers who attended the orientation.
In her message, Sampayan stressed the importance of the crucial role of women in advancing the organization’s programs and services for the attainment of its set goals.
“The role of women in our organization is vital. We have to empower ourselves in all aspects so that we can be instrumental in collectively contributing to the attainment of our set goals and objectives,” Sampayan said.
“We are so happy that new members are mostly female,” she added.
Norodin Dimaokom, in his message, extended his thanks to the national officers for their attendance.
“The presence of national officers in this orientation activity is indeed indispensable. This will boost the morale of our officers especially the newly recruited members,” Dimaokom said.
Dimaokom disclosed that it is the second visit of UNYPAD national officers to their chapter’s office. The first visit was led by no less than the UNYPAD National President Dr Rahib Kudto on May 28.
He explained that the supervision made by the vice president for internal affairs to provincial chapters programs is among of his tasks.
The UNYPAD delegation includes Abdulnasser Binasing, Secretary of Committee on Rehabilitation and Development and UNYPAD Cotabato City Chapter Officer Michael Kasan.
Michael said that after the orientation program in Paglat, Maguindanao which was attended by 50 youth and community members in the area, the team led by Alfonso immediately proceeded to Sultan Kudarat Province.
