PIKIT, NORTH COTABATO/ September 13, 2018 – The United Youth For Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Cluster II Provincial Chapter conducted a training on trainers (TOT) on Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) on September 8, 2018 held at Barangay, Batulawan, Pikit, North Cotabato.
Badrodin Mamendig, Provincial Vice Chairman for External Affairs of UNYPAD North Cotabato Cluster II gave the overview of the activity.
Mamendig said, the objective of the activity is to impart knowledge about the Bangsamoro Organic Law and how the officers of the cluster grasp the law.
Among the expected output after the training, Mamendig said, is to equip the capacity of individual officers for them to become speaker on their own respective communities.
The participants of this training were all provincial officers and selected participants, a maximum of five delegates in each four municipalities of Aleosan and Pikit in North Cotabato, Pagalungan and Montawal in Maguindanao.
The training was facilitated by National President of the UNYPAD Dr. Rahib L. Kudto.
Kudto presented the details of RA 11054 otherwise known as Bangsamoro Organic Law that will replace RA 9054, a law that had formed the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
Kudto presented the summary of Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro (CAB) and BOL in a concise manner that even ordinary people can understand the meaning of these political and legal documents signed through the Bangsamoro peace process.
The UNYPAD President reminded the participants to always look into the two lenses of understanding BOL, “you need to understand that this document is political and legal in nature,” Kudto emphasized.
Hamsa Landayan, Provincial Chairman of the UNYPAD North Cotabato Cluster II disclosed that the there is a second phase training for the participants to further equip their deeper understanding on BOL as tool on advocacy in the community.
The UNYPAD Cluster II Provincial Chapter is among of the active chapter of UNYPAD in terms of implementing the programs and services of the organization.
