COTABATO City (January 3, 2013) – Another seminar-workshop on Islamic Leadership, Management and Administration was organized by the United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD)-Cotabato City Chapter on December 30-31, 2013 held at Notre Dame Avenue, Cotabato City, targeted Moro youth of Barangay Rosary Heights no. 3.
Resource speakers were Abdul-Alim S. Talusob, City Secretary of UNYPAD Cotabato City Chapter, Engr. Saidona A. Lawan, Provincial Secretary of UNYPAD Maguindanao Cluster 2 Chapter and Tu A. Alfonso, the National Vice President for Internal Affairs of the organization.
The organizer said, “Their (the speakers) words of wisdom have been implanted in the minds and hearts of the participants and served as a challenge on how they can put into practice.”
“The participants were able to recognize qualities which are effective in leading, managing, and administering the organization and its affairs” they added.
Samer Ebrahim, President of Barangay RH 3, Cotabato City Chapter, was overwhelmed and thankful for the opportunity and efforts that UNYPAD provided them.
“The ability to lead and control self desire to avoid doing wrong deeds is a challenge for everyone regardless of age. We may be young but equipped with enough knowledge that we acquired from this seminar,” Ebarahim said.
“This two-day activity is an opportunity to reform and empower our members to become productive and pro-active citizen of Mindanao,” he stressed.
The said activity was successfully conducted with the close supervision of Cotabato City Chapter President Mohamiden G. Solaiman, together with the Women Affairs Committee (WAC) of the City chapter headed by Sittie Saada Sampayan and through the support of UNYPAD national chapter.
