UNYPAD Maguindanao Cluster 2 Holds 19 Ramadhan Activities

RAJAH BUAYAN, Maguindnao (August 7, 2014) – Series of activities were conducted by the United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) – Maguindanao Cluster 2 chapter during the month of Ramadhan, 1435. The activities were come up during planning meeting on May 24, 2014 participated by its officers and municipal chapters including MSU-Maguindanao school chapter.

The activities were actively participated in by an average of 200 participants per activity with an approximate number of 3,500 individuals coming from different sectors of the communities.

Among the topics discussed include but not limited to Significance of Ramadhan/Fasting and Zakatul Fitr, Aquidah Islamiyyah, Islamic Orientations/ UNYPAD Orientations, Ministerial Form of Government, Bangsamoro History, Updates and others.

The UNYPAD national chapter sent the staff of the Committee on Da’wah and Education for the Islamic Orientations and staff of the Committee on Campaign and Advocacy assigned to discuss Bangsamoro History and the GPH-MILF peace process updates.

The chapters also provided Ustadzes as additional resource speakers. Among of the resource speakers are Ustadz Nasrudin Musa, Ustadz Nasrudin Guiama, Ustadz Suharto Mamengkog, Ustadz and Yusoph Lumambas.

The update on the status of the peace process and the Bangsamoro history were mostly delivered by Nasser Binasing of the Committee of Campaign and Advocacy of the UNYPAD national. The orientations on ministerial form of government were discussed by the National President of the UNYPAD Ustadz Rahib L. Kudto and Atty. Edris Salanggani, member of Majelisis Sura. In Rajah Buayan, Atty..Mahmod M. Tulino, the Provincial chairman of UNYPAD-Maguindanao Cluster 2, was the invited guest speaker.

Ramadhan as recalled by Ustadz Guiama is very important. According to him, “Ramadhan is divided into three: the first 10 days is rahmah, which means mercy, the next 10 days is magfirah, which means forgiveness and the last 10 days is itqunminannaar that means people who fast is free from torment of the fire.”

Atty. Salangani said, in his input, “after the Comprehensive Agreement on Bangsamoro was signed, all agreements were completed and no more negotiation will be done. The only struggle for now is how to implement it.”

He further said that it is very important for the UNYPAD and Bangsamoro in general to know the government to be aspired by the organization.

 “The Bangsamoro Government is inclusive to all people. It will benefit all sectors, all factions, and all people in the Bangsamoro territory and even the Philippine government”, Ustadz Kudto said.
