UNYPAD national officers conduct orientation in NCR

TAGUIG CITY / March 28 – UNYPAD President Dr. Rahib Kudto and National Chairperson of the Women Affairs Committee (WAC) Baisanie Macabuat recently conducted an orientation to the officers and members of UNYPAD National Capital Region (NCR) Chapters.

The meeting, held at the Green Mosque Imelda R. Marcos (IRM) Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on March 18, 2018, was organized by UNYPAD-NCR WAC under the leadership of its chairperson Ustadza Omuhani Mabandes.

Baisanie explained the programs of the organization and related why UNYPAD was organized.

She also discussed the tasks and functions of every committee and underscored the importance for every officer and member to do their responsibilities in order to achieve UNYPAD’s mission and vision.

On the other hand, Dr. Kudto gave his insight on the status of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) on the current peace process between the Government of the Philippines (GPH) and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

The UNYPAD head was optimistic that the proposed measure shall be passed by May 30 this year as mentioned by President Rodrigo R. Duterte.

“The youth should always be prepared for any circumstances that might happen on the Bangsamoro peace process,” Dr. Kudto said.

He also commended the efforts of Omuhani together with her fellow officers and members on the ongoing organizing of NCR chapter.

Dr. Kudto recognized the capacity building activities of the NCR chapters and other partnership engagement with Anak Mindanao, Gaston Z. Ortigas (GZO) Peace Institute, the GenPeace and The Asia Foundation.

He asked the audiences to remain steadfast on contributing their time, efforts and resources for the betterment of the Bangsamoro people citing there is reward from the Almighty to those who help others.
