MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur (July 30, 2015)—At least 3 series of Islamic symposium in Lanao del Sur and Marawi City was conducted through the efforts of the office of the Regional Coordinator and Vice President for External affairs of the United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) in coordination with the UNYPAD Marawi City Chapter, Lanao del Sur II Chapter, and UNYPAD Coastal area Chapter.
The UNYPAD Northern Mindanao Regional Coordinator Ahmad A. Matao Jr. along with Ansary A. Diamaoden, Vice President for External Affairs, expressed their appreciation and thanks to the UNYPAD chapters who were able to conduct activities during the holy month of Ramadhan.
“The Islamic symposium was conducted on June 24, 2015 in Barangay Bacayawan, Municipality of Marantao, and Marawi City on July 4, and on July 13, held at Barangay Maladeg, Picong Lanao Del Sur,” said Matao.
“The activity in Maladeg was participated in by more than hundred participants,” he added.
Matao said that Sheikh Mansawi “Dariday” Mimbalawag and Sheikh Ansary Salacob were invited as speakers.
During the activity, the officers and members of the 3-cluster chapters were well represented. Participants from Marawi City Chapter were led by Chairman Anzanor Bobung himself, and his Chairwoman Fersia Usman; Delegation from Lanao del Sur II Chapter was led by Chairman Rashed G. Dimunang and Amera Mohammad; and Chairman Omair B. Saripada for Coastal area Chapter. (UNYPAD News)
