UNYPAD-Sultan Kudarat Province Holds Orientation Program

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat (March 10, 2016)—The United Youth for Peace and Developemnt (UNYPAD) Sultan Kudarat provincial chapter held a provincial orientation attended by officers and members of the UNYPAD Sultan Kudarat, held at Madrasah Hadji Abubakar Litilawatil Qur’an Al-Kareem, Datu Phenry Arab Residence, Purok Masagana, Kalawag II, Isulan, Sultan Kudarat on March 6, 2016.

Mr. Ebs Nor, the newly appointed Provincial Chairman of Sultan Kudarat Chapter opened the program and expfressed his warm welcome to the participants who came from different municipalities of the province and school-based chapters. Some officers from UNYPAD National Chapter also graced the occasion.

Mr. Tu Alid Alfonso, UNYPAD Vice Pesident for Internal Affairs and Ustadz Suharto Mamengkog of UNYPAD Committee on Da’wah and Education attended the activity.

Mr. Alfonso oriented the members and officers of the province on the mission, goals and objectives of the organization and enjoined them to work hard so that they can contribute to the attainment of its vision. He also reminded the participants to strengthen further their unity and solidarity.

“If you have internal problems please find solutions to them immediately so that it will not affect the whole operation of our organization,” Alfonso said.

Alfonso also shared to the participants the latest memorandum of the National Council regarding UNYPAD’s policy on the upcoming 2016 National Elections.

Meantime, Ustadz  Mamengkog in his message qouted some Quranic verses to encourage the members to work hard and strengthen the spirit of brotherhood and be aware on how to be a good leader and follower of Islam.

“Apya salepa bu a kapitas nengka gagalo kanu umpungan na di a benal mapakay” said Ustadz Mamengkog said.

Mr. Flex Buisan, UNYPAD member and a peace advocate in the province was very much appreciative of the presence and presentation of Vice President for Internal Affais when he discussed the policies of this organization.

Some of the student participants asked about the qualifications of being a UNYPAD officer.

“UNYPAD policy discourages the election, instead the National Executive Council adopted consensus ways of chosing our officers to be appointed as Chairman of the provice and members of its executives if necessary,” Alfonso emphasized.

“The leadership of National Executive Council appointed Brother Ebs as our Chairman and Brother Rashid Midzapak as your provincial chapter secretary,” Alfonso added.

Abdulrahman Bakal, UNYPHIL Sultan Kudarat provincial president also participated as a gesture of unity and partnership in the province.

Other important part of the program was the announcement of the appoinment of outgoing provincial chapter chairman of Sultan Kudarat Mr. Norodin Dimaukum as member of the UNYPAD national officers.
