UNYPAD Women Affairs Committee organized in GSKP, Maguindanao

July 23, 2013: The Maguindanao 3 Cluster Chapter of the United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) conducted a half-day orientation to women youth of General Salipada K. Pendatun (GSKP) town held at the Hadji Datu Saidona Pendatun Foundation College Inc., GSKP, Maguindanao on July 20, 2013.

Akmad S. Musa, the Chapter President, said: “We successfully oriented and organized women chapter in the municipality of GSKP.”

Musa took a lead in the said orientation and organizing.

Abdulbasit Mama, Secretary on Da’wah and Education of the GSKP municipal chapter, led the invocation.

“Joining an organization like UNYPAD will empower you, help sharpen your skills and talents, and develop your knowledge and attitudes, and it will boost your self-esteem,” Ms Jennyvie A. Buna, WAC Chairperson of GSKP chapter, stressed in her welcome address.

In enlightening further the organized WAC members, Musa said: “UNYPAD is a mobile university because members are required to undergo trainings on various topics using our prepared modules such as leadership and management, conflict management and resolution, among others.”

“Here [in UNYPAD], you will be molded to become a competitive leader and a peace volunteer,” he explained.

Musanip Kamad, a Parent Teachers Association (PTA) Vice President of the said school, said: “You have to prepare yourselves because the future of our people lies on your arms in the future.”

“You are the hope of our homeland,” Ustadz Muslimen Kumam, a community leader said.

The organized WAC Officers of GSKP municipal chapter have pledged to give their time and resources for the advancement and realization of the vision, mission, goals, objectives and programs of the of the UNYPAD.
