UNYPAD-Panicupan Chapter holds Training Workshop on Islamic Leadership and Management

PIKIT, COTABATO (November 9, 2020) — United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Panicupan Chapter conducted the Training Workshop on Islamic Leadership and Management held on October 31 to November 01, 2020 at Al-Asim Elementary School Sitio Basak, Panicupan Pikit North Cotabato with at least 35 participants coming from different sitios of the baranggay.
The training was part with the programs and services of the UNYPAD in capacitating the newly-organized members of the chapter through developing essentials skills needed as they go along in the organization.
Datuan “Dhats” Magon, a training expert of UNYPAD and Deputy Secretary for Administration discussed the essential qualities of a leader and a leadership in Islam.
“Being a leader, there are lots of responsibilities we must take and put on our shoulders because whether we like it or not in the future we will become a leader, in shaa Allah. But we must first secure to lead ourselves, before our family and the organization as a whole,” he pointed out.
Magon also stressed that a leader must be wise thinker, skillful in persuading and powerful in carrying out his duties and responsibilities.
UNYPAD Provincial Secretary on Campaign and Advocacy, Abdul Rahim “Jhoe” Balabagan, discussed thoroughly management and facilitated different workshops on the said subject.
He also gave emphasis on the fundamental relationships of leadership to management.
“A good leader must always have a good management to maintain the good relationships among his/her colleagues and comrades in attaining the main objectives of the organization,” he stressed.
Committee on Da’wah and Education represented by Ustadz Fahad Mokalam gave an orientation on Aqeedah Islamiya. He was joined by his colleagues on the committee namely Salahudin Kudto and Norhamen Taparan who gave some Muhadharah during the evening sessions of the program.
UNYPAD North Cotabato Cluster-II, Provincial Chairman Hamza Landayan, attended the event to manifest his moral support to the activity.
“You as a Bangsamoro youth especially in UNYPAD, should strive to seek more knowledge and skills for us to implement those tasks, actions, and deeds expected on us and which must be acceptable to Allah,” Landayan remarked.
Chairman of Panicupan Chapter Abdul Nasser Asim in behalf of his constituents assured his commitment on the continuation of the implementation of the program and services of the organization.
In her impression message, Norhata L. Kasid, one of the participants said, “We are very thankful to all of you because we are motivated, we are enlightened, and we learned a lot from this 2 -day training, especially for me as a new member of this organization, it would help me a lot.”
Also present were UNYPAD NCC-II Executives, representatives from the Social Welfare Committee (SWC), Task force Ittihad, and officers from municipal level including some of the Women Affairs Committee (WAC) and they were fully supportive in securing, facilitating and to supervising the activity.
The 2-day training was a successfully concluded with strict observance of the heath protocols.
