UNYPAD orients youth of Barangay Macasendeg, Pikit

PIKIT, COTABATO (March 23, 2021) — The United Youth for Peace Development, Inc. (UNYPAD) oriented the youths of Barangay Macasendeg, last March 14, 2021 at Mahad Darusallam in this municipality to inform the young citizens of the village about the background, mission, vision and objectives of the organization.
Kamarudin Mangansakan, former treasurer of Barangay Macasendeg said, “We are very grateful that you have visited and reached our barangay” and added, “Being in an organization would make a difference, especially if it is UNYPAD.”
“We wanted to reach out to the youths of BARMM,” said Jhoe P. Balabagan, as he gave the rationale of the program. He added, “UNYPAD also aims to develop you as an agent of transformation, together with your potential and skills.”
Ustadz Hamsa Landayan, the North Cotabato Cluster II (NCCII) Chairman, told the participants that UNYPAD also focuses on capacity-building of the youth.
The Chairman further said that the organization adhere with mandate of Islam to mankind – enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong. “It is one of the aims of this organization,” he pointed out.
“Rahim Lasak, Provincial Committee on Research and Information member, shared to the audiences that his reason behind joining UNHYPAD is to seek knowledge.
Johana Abid also shared the changes the organization brought her. Both of them also highlighted that the UNYPAD is likened to a “mobile university.”
Also present in the event was Ustadz Zahara Sumbaga of the Special Agency for Women’s Concern. She expressed her gratitude to the BLGU for accepting UNYPAD.
The Social Welfare Committee, represented by Wahida Gayak- Adil, also expressed their support to the organization commending the organization for the good things it brings to the Bangsamoro youth. “Our salute to UNYPAD,” she expressed.
The flow of the activity was facilitated by Ramson Mangansakan, one of the active youth of the barangay, as the master of ceremony.
