UNYPAD Pikit orients new members of Panicupan chapter

PIKIT, COTABATO (April 5, 2021) — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) Pikit North Cotabato Cluster II (NCCII) conducted orientation for the new members of Panicupan Chapter on March 28, 2021 at Masjid Bilal, Sitio Muslim Panicupan, this town.
Around 120 participants attended in the event coming from different sitios of Panicupan and nearby barangays including visitors and executive officers of UNYPAD from provincial and municipal levels.
The activity was aimed to organize, encourage and strengthen the Bangsamoro youth of the community. They were encouraged to participate in different undertakings of the organizing as steps in building them to become future leaders of the community with a strong faith.
Chairman of UNYPAD Pikit, Mustapha Sanduyogan, showed his support citing, “Pag-organize tanu sa community, sekitanu a mga manguda a dikena ya tanu bu role e sya bu sa sports, ya tidto na sekitanu a mga nguda na panamal endo tidto a kaiseg o kanggalbek (We are organizing the community, we as youth, our role is not just in sports but the for us to strive to be developed),” Sanduyogan said.
Zainal B. Asim , Commander of Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF)-Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF) in the community showed his support and gave his inspiring message for the youth.
“Sekanu a mga nguda pamun so umol, na nya tanu enggulan na galbek a makagkapiya sa dalpa endo pangagiyan so makadayt (You, as youth in your young age, must do what is be beneficial/favorable in our community and must learn what is right),” he emphasized.
Role of the Youth in Nation Building was discussed by UNYPAD Pikit Vice – Chairman for External Affairs, Jhoe Balabagan.
He emphasized that youth must develop their skills, prepare for the responsibilities, and be an agent of transformation.
“We will continue to reach out the potential Bangsamoro youth leaders,” Balabagan, also the Secretary on Campaign and Advocacy North Cotabato Cluster II, stressed.
Hamza G. Landayan, UNYPAD NCCII Chairman, tackled the organization’s mission, vision, goals, objectives, programs and services.
He added, “In our organization, we always convey the ‘Peace with justice, dignity, equality and freedom’.”
“In terms of development we must develop our spiritual, physical and material development,” Landayan added.
In his message, Tanny Mandas, former Barangay Captain of Panicupan said,” Youth na partner tanu sa kadevelop nu dalpa sabap so kaplider na dikena contest ogayda pdtatabanga (Youth is our partner in community development because leadership is not a competition but helping each other).”
Barangay Captain Babay Mandas together with her fellow barangay officials were also in the activity to show their support.
Present also were representatives from United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP), Political Committee (PolCom), Asatidz, Social Welfare Committee (SWC) and other sectors and groups including the Women Affairs Committee (WAC) of UNYPAD provincial and municipal levels.
