UNYPAD hosts Ramadhan Grand Islamic Symposium in Pikit, Cotabato

PIKIT, COTABATO PROVINCE (May 2, 2021) – The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) North Cotabato Cluster ll – Committee on Da’wah and Education spearheaded Ramadhan Grand Islamic Symposium on April 25, 2021 at the gymnasium of Barangay Dalingaoen, this town.
With the theme “Ramadhan: A hope for unity, spiritual advancement, forgiveness and self-cleansing,” the activity was traditionally conducted every month of Ramadhan to strengthen the unity and brotherhood among the officers and members of North Cotabato Cluster-II.
It was also geared to promote the youth’s active participation in peace building in the Bangsamoro.
The National President of UNYPAD, Dr Rahib L. Kudto graced the affair together with Ustadz Nasrudin Musa, Committee, staff of Da’wah and Education from National Chapter.
They were joined by Saguira Abubakar, Secretary of Social Welfare Committee (SWC) of Liguasan Province, executive leaders from four municipalities of NCC-II, executives of provincial level headed by their Chairman, Hamza Landayan, and officers of the Women’s Affairs Committee (WAC).
Also present were representatives from the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF)’s Political Committee and Barangay officials of Barangay Dalingaon to show their support to the activity.
Kudto discussed the role of youth in promoting moral governance. He said every individual is responsible to promote the moral governance and it should start from oneself, their families and in every level of bureaucracy of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The UNYPAD head said that leadership is not a privilege but a responsibility.
Ustadz Nasrudin Musa pointed out that the believers should make this month as an opportunity for acquiring more rewards, blessings and forgiveness from Almighty Allah.
He underscored that being a blessed month, those who do good deeds on Ramadhan will acquire multiple rewards.
Saguira Abubakar discussed the role of women in Muslim society. “Muslim women should be liable for herself on seeking more valuable characters, capacity building and Islamization especially promoting personal Jihad in Bangsamoro homeland,” she said.
Landayan inspired his fellow UNYPAD members to maintain and observe the unity and brotherhood to promote peace and security.
“Let us work together to achieve the prosperous peace and development in our homeland,” he said
The MILF-Political committee and BLGU of Dalingaoen represented by Barangay Chairman of Malingaw, Nasser Bantulinay lauded the activities of UNYPAD.
He committed support and cooperation for the organization’s future program and services in his place.
Abdulkarim Montok, member of Committee on Da’wah and Education of NCC-Il, on his closing message, commended the organizers of the event.
“This Ramadhan grand Islamic symposium was realized due to the participation and cooperation of committee on Dawah and Education NCC-ll with the supervision of provincial executive officers,” he said.
