UNYPAD Datu Montawal Chapter, MILF – PolCom conduct Islamic symposium

DATU MONTAWAL, Maguindanao (May 11, 2021) – The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD)North Cotabato Cluster-ll (NNC-II) Datu Montawal Chapter in partnership with Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) – Political Committee (PolCom) initiated Islamic symposium on May 7, 2021 at Makatabang residence, Barangay Pagagawan, this town.

With the theme “Ramadhan: A hope for Unity, Spiritual Advancement, Forgiveness and Self-Cleansing,” the activity was aimed to educate the audiences on the virtues of the month Ramadhan and beyond.

Committee staff of Da’wah and Education from UNYPAD National, Sheikh Nasrudin Musa, was honored with the attendance of Barangay Pagagawan Chairman, Rynie Macalnas of MILF-Political Committee and Barangay Kagawad Gascon Macatabang as representative of Barangay Pagagawan Local Government Unit.

Sheik Musa discussed the benefits of “The Holy Night of Laylat-ul-Qadr.”

He said the blessed night worth a thousand months and reward for any good deeds completed on this single night is the equivalent to a thousand months (83 years) of doing good acts.

Musa was joined by Abdullah Alalang, Musref of Da’wah of Pagagawan, who highlighted the importance of obligatory five times a day salah or prayer.

Macalnas and Macatabang expressed their support and gratitude to the organizer of the activity and they emphasized the impotence of cooperation and unity in the pursuit of social development and advancing the Islamic religion in the communities.

Vice Chairman for Internal Affairs of NCC- II, Nasrudin Landaila, encouraged his fellow UNYPAD officers and member to maintain and sustain the organization activities especially Islamization and youth capacity building in the different municipal and barangay chapters.

“Our organization should conduct a series of activity in different areas under our cluster. I hope that this activity will continue and be sustained by our chapter particularly program for the youths and Islamization,” Landaila said.

Hundreds of participants were in attendance particularly from BLGU, members of MILF-Political Committee and UNYPAD Datu Montawal chapter members and residents of different barangays of the said town.
