UNYPAD NCC II holds newswriting, video journalism training-workshop

PAGALUNGAN, Maguindanao (September 6, 2021) —The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) – North Cotabato Cluster (NCC) – II held the News Writing and Video Journalism Training-Workshop on September 3-5, 2021 at Datu Alimot Elementary School, Galakit in this town.
The activity, spearheaded by the Committee on Research and Information in collaboration with the committee on Campaign and Advocacy, was aimed at increasing the technical skills of the UNYPAD members to effectively promote the advocacies of the organization and showcase its programs and services to the Bangsamoro communities.
During the listening session, the participants were asked how committed they are to become writers of the organization.
One of the facilitators, Sir Andik, also asked on what thing the organization is compared with. A participant, Mosmera Taib, answered that UNYPAD can be likened to a pencil.
“UNYPAD is a double package and a reservoir of knowledge,” she added.
On the question as to what part of the news can the organization compared with, Junaiza M. Pagagao answered, “It would be the lead, because of the presence of 5Ws and 1H. The members are diverse, where they can contribute to the organization.”
The activity revolved around the facilitators asking the participants a question, with regards to their commitments in becoming the UNYPAD writers.
All the participants were able to share their expectations as would-be writers of the organization.
Other UNYPAD NCC-II officials were also present to supervise the said activity.
