UNYPAD, Relief International start facilitating peace dialogue in 20 Barangays

COTABATO CITY (December 7, 2021) — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) in partnership with Relief International (RI) has started facilitating the conduct of peace dialogue in twenty (20) barangays in the provinces of Cotabato and Maguindanao this month of November.
Part of the activities for this project is to come up with participatory procedures and community engagement with at least 50 participants in every target community through the community peace dialogue.
Organizers assured the fair participation of every sector of the community to draw substantial inputs toward a fruitful conduct of the project.
Morsid Macabangin, Project Officer, emphasized that “This dialogue is very important for us to continue our engagement and the implementation of our project in your barangay, hoping that you can come up any resolution resolving the issues and concerns in the barangay.”
“Magkaisa-isa tayo upang maabot natin ang minimithi natin para sa development ng barangay at ng komunidad as a whole (Let us be united so we will attain our envisioned development of our barangays and the community as a whole),” he said.
Eleomar Buda, Barangay Kagawad, facilitated the entire duration of the dialogue.
He stressed that facilitating dialogues is not easy and he pointed out “But this is a training for us as a barangay officials of Fort Pikit.”
Ramir Aglubat, barangay secretary, expressed his gratitude to the team of UNYPAD.
“We are very thankful for choosing us as a beneficiaries of this project, expect our full participation for any training-seminars regarding the implementation of our project.”
UNYPAD and Relief lnternational expressed gratitude for the full support of the barangay local government and the community during the activity.
