UNYPAD-Gensan supports Ramadhan Symposium

GENERAL SANTOS CITY (April 24, 2022) — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD) – General Santos City (Gensan) Chapter supported the conduct of Ramadhan Symposium held at Purok Bangsamoro, Barangay Calumpang, this town on April 14, 2022.
The activity entitled “Paano Makakamit ang Pagmamahal ni Allah” is an initiative of the Ayah for Call and Guidance Center supported by UNYPAD Gensan as the partner organization.
Raihan Alangan-Modjie Carino, Secretary of Finance, said their team was part of the steering committee and provided snacks to around 500 participants of the symposium. UNYPAD Gensan was also in-charge of the venue preparation.
Shaykh Abu Haneen Ibn Abdullah, an Islamic missionary, was the resource person. He underscored the important role of parents to teach their children what is right and wrong.
The speaker warned parents for being lenient to their children who tend to veer away from the teaching of Islam like going to party and wearing tight clothes.
He told the audiences the importance of reading the holy qur’an and urged them to remind others to read and understand the holy book.
On praying, he reminded the audiences to be mindful of the Almighty and keep a strong concentration.
The participants were comprised of adults and youth from the Calumpang and its adjacent Muslim communities.
The resource person also gave Muhadhara during the 12th Grand Iftar of Sarangani Province on April 13, 2022.
