UNYPAD-Lutayan hosts Ramadhan Islamic Symposium

LUTAYAN, Sultan Kudarat (April 24, 2022) — The United Youth for Peace and Development Lutayan Municipal Chapter held a Ramadhan Islamic Symposium on April 24, 2022 at Markadz Rawad, Barangay Mamali, this town.

Two Muhadeer, Ustadz Abdulrazak Edza and Ustadz Abdulgapor “Gunturo” Makmod, gave focus on importance of fasting and the benefits it provides.

Ustadz Edza said that not everyone is blessed this month of Ramadhan because others have passed away. “Pamakutan inya ka barabahagiyan tanu ka nawma tanu inya a ulan-ulan a barakat (Let us seize this opportunity where we reached this blessed month),” he said.

According to Ustadz Gunturo, Ramadhan gives many lessons to Muslim believers including the connection between the creatures and the creator, “Gambalay sya ba su palityala endu gilek tanu sa kadnan, kagina ayatan antu a Laallakum Tattakun na pegkabagel su pagaltan nu ulipen endu su Kadinan )Fear to the Almighty is built as in according to the verse Laallakum Tattakun the connection between man and his Creator is strengthened)”.

Around 300 participants attended the event.

In the program, Barangay Mangudadatu Chairman Honorable Mario Sandigan thanked UNYPAD Lutayan for the realization of the symposium they hosted.

“Sukor-sukor tanu ka mga nguda a nakapagitung sa nyaba a program, mga nguda a kasaligan labi den kanu agama Islam (We are thankful to this youth for coming up with this program, the reliable youth, the Muslim youth),” he said.

Also present at the said activity was UNYPAD Provincial Chairman Ibrahim S. Nor along with other provincial executives.
