PIKIT BARMM SGA (MAY 24, 2022) — The United Youth for Peace and Development (UNYPAD)- North Cotabato Cluster II Women Affairs Committee (NCCII WAC) spearheaded the bloodletting activity on May 21, 2022 at UNYPAD-NCCII Office, Batulawan, this town.

The activity was themed “Su Lugo Nengka na Umol Ko (Your Blood is My Life).” A number of both members and non- members of the organization from the covered areas of UNYPAD- NCCII responded to the call for blood donation.

Abdulkadir Zaman, UNYPAD- Aleosan Chapter, and one of the donors pointed out his reason of donating his blood.

“I’ve been doing it for many times. I always bore in mind that donating my blood would help those in need. In shaa Allah,” he said.

One of the organizers, Derhana Adil, WAC Secretary on Health and Disaster Management Committee, shared how the activity was realized.

“The activity was supposed to be part of our last year’s plan, but come into fruition only this year,” he related.
“But more than just an activity, bloodletting will save lives, both the recipients, and the donors themselves,” she explained.

Thirty (30) donors were qualified and were able to donate blood according to the official list of CRMC.

The activity was done in coordination with the Rural Health Unit of Pikit and in collaboration with the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC).

UNYPAD- NCCII Chairman, Ustadz Hamsa G. Landayan, expressed his gratitude to the donors, partner agencies and organizers.

“This would have not been possible without you all,” Landayan said and added, “We’ve already been part of an activity like this before, but this is the first time that we, ourselves, are the organizers.

He also voiced out his interest in making bloodletting activity regular of the cluster.
