May 22, 2013: To pursue the goal of expanding organization’s area of operation, the UNYPAD Bukidnon Provincial Chapter was organized on April 29, 2013 in the municipality of Kalilangan — a municipality that lies between boarders of Bukidnon and Lanao del Sur provinces.

UNYPAD delegates from Cotabato City were headed by Vice President for Internal Affairs Tu Alfonso along with the North Cotabato Chapter officers headed by Ustadz Hamsa Landayan, Provincial President.

The Activity was divided into two sessions. Morning session was allotted for Muhadarah Islamiyah in which Ustadz Faisal Dacungan, Staff of the National Committee on Da’wah and Education, was tasked to deliver a topic “Islamic Concept of Unity and Strengthening of Faith.” The audience in the program were women.

The afternoon session started after the Jum’ah (congregational) prayer.

In his message, Akmad Maguid, UNYPAD North Cotabato Provincial Vice President, thanked the community leaders and youth in the province for the invitation and he, later on, appealed to youth to support the organization because it would play a very important role in developing youth in the province as catalysts of change and future leaders of the Bangsamoro people.

Datuan Magon, National Deputy Secretary General for Administration, gave a presentation on the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro (FAB).

“In every organizing that we conduct, we always include Bangsamoro history so that community would be able to understand and be reminded of the sufferings experienced by the Bangsamoro people, and later on, they would feel the important role of the organization both in asserting and addressing those grievances,” Magon said.

Alfonso delivered the presentation on “all about UNYPAD” where he discussed the vision, mission, goals, objectives including tasks and functions of each officer in the organization. He also explained that a copy of organization’s Constitution and By-Laws would be provided to them after completing their provincial setup.

The appointed chapter president for the province of Bukidnon Astany Anton Mamandog said in his acceptance message that they, as well as the community leaders attended the activity, are committed to work in organizing other municipalities in Bukidnon which have Moro residents. (UNYPAD News)
